lovesong of infirmity

i met a man with no ears who wouldnt listen to a man with no eyes who wouldnt look at a man with no mouth who wouldnt speak about a man with no hands who wouldnt reach out to a man with no feet who wouldnt follow.

and i sang a lovesong of infirmity

i met a man with no mind who wouldnt think about a man with no passion who wouldnt care about a man with no will who wouldnt try to choose between a man with no heart who wouldnt feel and a man with no soul who wouldnt  dream.

and i sang a lovesong of infirmity

i met a man with no faith who wouldnt believe there was a man with no church who wouldnt offer help to a man with no convictions who wouldnt feel bad about a man with no direction who wouldnt move toward a man with no face who wouldnt be seen.

and i sang a lovesong of infirmity
