the american patriots bible

back in february of last year i posted a blog entitled: the bible of the united states of america and her allies. at that time i had absolutely no knowledge of this. that post was aimed at the far too prevalent idea that america is a christian nation.

i thot at the time that such a thing as a bible of the united states was so ludicrous that it would both make for a decent laugh and make a strong point about the mindset i opposed. apparently its not a joke…

  1. To put a word such as ‘patriotic’ bible is to project a perverted reflection of the great book. I do believe that there is a place for history on how the bible has shaped your country but to a bible with this kind of vision is simply misleading. I’m not anti American just think that this is simply off base. And yes, HOLY CRAP!!!!

  2. What is it about whoever adds to or takes away from this book will have all the prior mentioned plagues placed upon them. That should be an interesting sight eh? I love how one of the pics in the video is of that mon-whore Kennedy and talks about Jefferson who didn’t even have the faith to believe in miracles. Amusing, sad, sickening, and driven solely to make a buck for another Osteen wannabe. Live your best life now america! While the Bible was used to shape items in our countries founding, it is in no way an object to be made secondary to the history of any country!

  3. Anything to make a buck.

  4. While our nation was founded on Christian faith and some of our leaders have been Christians, I do not believe that it is worthy of placing this information into God’s word and selling it. If someone wanted to write a book about it, fine, but not into a bible.
But, on the same grounds, what about the study bibles? Couldn’t the same information have been put into a book, rather than the bible? I don’t know…just saying…it’s the same thing, just a little further to the left.

    • God’s word was intended for us to learn from, to use and help others beyond ourselves. Mixing the Godly facts and principals with the bible is not and should not be a concern…… Understanding that many will not even write their personal notes into a bible thinking it is a sign of disrespect I can see where this thought process can take us. This bible is a perfect combination of Godly principals and TRUE facts about our great nation and God’s involvement from its inception.

ALL Americans NOW know that America WAS FOUNDED on Godly principals.

The American Patriot’s Bible clearly states the facts on just how God has been and will continue to be a part of this great nation. So many are fearful of this bible and I simply cannot understand why.

Our schools and History classes at all levels should read and understand the TRUE facts of our nation. Understand the strength of the great men who formed this nation and just where this strength was obtained. The American Patriot’s Bible clearly shows this.

The American Patriot’s Bible offers the true facts of over 300 different people, places and times in America when Godly principals and a Godly foundation were part of decisions and strength which formed this great country.

9/11 was not that long ago when this country was shocked with the disaster of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. On that day and many weeks which followed churches across America were standing room only. The United Stated Flag was completely sold out; you could not purchase one anywhere in the United States. WHY? Because everyone turned to God during this time of need.

The American Patriot’s Bible is God’s word, God’s involvement in the great men who made this nation what it is today.

Everyone should have a copy. Our history has included God, not just for the United Stated of America but for the world.

  5. I think a study Bible that provides a guide to help people study and understand Scripture is no where close to being the same as this. You are comparing propaganda mixed with Scripture to a tool/resource for better understanding God’s word. Apples and oranges!

  6. Sad that the sacred text needs a sales pitch, eh?

  7. I love you, man!

  8. It saddens me that so many people, including those who call themselves “Christians,” are judging this bible by saying it is proclaiming America, in the context of its government, as being Christian. This is further from the truth. It is simply celebrating Christians in America who are patriotic. Is there a problem with Christians being patriotic? Of course not. Secondly, the idea that Thomas Nelson and a man of integrity like Dr. Richard Lee, the general editor, would ever “blaspheme” God’s Word is preposterous. These articles, stories and illustrations are a “compendium” to the bible. None of the Books of the Bible, chapters, verses or words were changed in any way. I encourage everyone to not “judge this book by its cover” and get a copy for yourselves before assuming that The American Patriot’s Bible is trying to make Jesus out to be an American patriot or that American government is Christian. When people say “America is a Christian nation” that is not implying that American government is Christian. It is implying that most Americans have been and consider themselves Christians, including many of the founding fathers. This confusion is rampant and is rarely clarified. This bible is a wonderful celebration to the many Christians in our nation who have shown their patriotism in many ways. I encourage everyone to get a copy and see for themselves before judging this book by its title or its cover.

  9. Mr White, I am not in disagreement that be patriotic about ones country is wrong; however I would like to say that whatever they may have placed inside this Bible belongs in another book outside of the Scripture. It is not judging a book by its cover when they tell you what they have placed in the book accompining God’s Word. I would also beg to differ that we are a Christian nation based on the beliefs of “most” Americans. I can claim to be an Oscar Meyer Weiner but it does not make it fact. People claim to be lots of things but until there faith can be seen and fruit produced from such faith I would challenge there belief in anything other than their own comfort. Take a look at some of the Christians from America’s past. Is a man like Jefferson who had not the faith to believe in miracles a Christian?

  10. I believe the intention of the phrase “we are a Christian nation” in the context of geographic religion is the same as saying: “the majority of those who live in America prescribe to the Christian faith” which is a well documented fact. If polls over the last 100 years in America happen to show a majority of its citizens eat Oscar Meyer Weiners, then I believe in the context of a discussion of hot dogs we could say “we are an Oscar Meyer Weiner nation.” With respect to ones “fruits” or whether those who truly are Christians (believe Jesus Christ is the Savior) is only known by God. If seekers of truth are looking to “people” who call themselves Christians as the measuring stick of validity of the bible or Christianty, then they are looking horizontally instead of up, Thomas Jefferson included. However I do understand your point that the poll numbers could be off if people have answered “Christian” as their prescribed faith and aren’t practincing their faith. I think most Americans do believe in God and the teachings of the bible, but are not willing to commit to its lifestyle.

  11. I am reminded that God does take an interest in the affairs of men and does so often by His design and plan for the world. If we believe in the Sovereignty of God, we must believe He is the orchestrator and designer of the deeds and actions of nations, not just individuals. This includes all the nations of the world, not just America. I have the Patriot Bible and find great interest in the documentation. But, I am the citizen of the Kingdom of God first. I do see a direct correlation between His kingdom and our nation, at least in the way He has allowed us to help other nations, send missionaries around the world and reach out with the gospel of His salvation. We cannot deny, nor can we revise history to say that our nation was NOT founded on many of the principles and that we are strongly influenced by the Holy Word. This bible is simply connecting a few dots, ones that exist in history and have been revised out of today’s history books. I don’t read this as an attempt to develop a nationalistic theocracy built on Christianity at all, but as a reminder of the faith of our fathers and our founders.

  12. Sorry America, but I want my Christianity without all the rhetoric and the diplomacy, I want the honest and stern Christianity, not the kids book Christianity.

  13. is jesus a patriotic nationalist who stands up when the national anthem is played and covers his heart pledging allegiance to the united states of america? does he take up arms against americas enemies? does he sanction our putting bullets and shrapnel into people of other nations?

did our lord and savior live and die and live again so that god-fearing men might kill their god-fearing cousins in the revolutionary war? did he approve our independence being sought with canons and muskets as christians killed christians on the battlefields?

did jesus glory in the slaughter of native americans and the kidnapping and enslavement of africans to work americas fields? was he overjoyed when we set to war against ourselves over the very issue of slavery and grew into the industrial age where a very few families controlled the greatest portion of wealth while the rest of the country struggled to survive?

was he orchestrating our invasion of normandy and sending fire from heaven on our enemies in nagasaki and hiroshima? has he backed us in the gulf wars?

im curious just when exactly this was a christian nation and how anyone claiming to be a jesus follower ended up following him into such thinking…bc where this nation started and where it has come is in every way completely incongruous with the life death and resurrection of the jesus in scripture.

and i will be damned if i follow any other jesus.

    • so Mr. Carrel, where are those numbers in American churches today? ANSWER: they are lower than they have been in decades and dropping lower by the year! Your point is irrelevant concerning 9/11 and sadly is a stereotypical point made by people in relation to the Christian faith. It has nothing to do with this Bible. The people that flooded the church are no different than the seed thrown in the thorn bush that grows for a short time and is choked out. Please understand that American was founded on godly principles and God was not founded on American principles. One belongs in another; and one blongs to the other. Let us get that straight.
Should the American Patirot’s Bible include the heretical/blasphemous view of Jefferson? Or the infidelity of many past presidents? Not to mention the behavior of some of your “God-fearing” founding fathers.
If you want to studey american history get a text book. If you want to study God’s Word…buy a real Bible!
